Taking good care of you means the people around you will receive the best of you, rather than what's left of you.
Stress Buster #1: Meditation
For years, a very good friend continued to advise me to begin a regular meditation program. I kindly accepted his advice, yet never immersed myself completely in the practice. I was either too busy, bored, didn't realize the health benefits, or was just plain lazy.
Stress Buster #2: Massage
Seventeen years into a lucrative career and I can only explain it that "I had a calling". I decided to go back to school and learn stress reduction techniques through therapeutic massage therapy. Little did I know that this whisper would in essence be life-changing!
Like a BUTTERFLY , I am growing and changing and finding my TRUE COLORS in life. I am TRANSFORMING, finding my WINGS, and going HIGHER and HIGHER.
Stress Buster #3: Chakra Clearing
Chakras are energy centers within the human body that help to regulate all its processes, from organ function to the immune system and emotions. But as I got older and my life became more complicated, I slowly subjected my body to increased levels of stress - which ultimately and unknowingly became my "new normal". Being a woman, mother, step-mother, business owner, and wife, my inability to keep up with the pace led me into a darkness that I could not escape.
I dealt with unhappiness, depression, insomnia, body aches and pains, excess weight, hormonal imbalances, and immune system flare-ups . This negative transformation happened so slowly, I didn't even recognize myself anymore.
I was determined my multi-tasking efforts would not be in vain -juggling kids, work, chores, and other "life" commmitments, continuing on despite being lethargic, stressed, and depressed. I was not living a "fulfilling" life, and I knew I deserved better. I just didn't know how to make "better" happen. After some serious reflection, I started on a quest to find "me" again!
I starated making changes one at a time, so as not to become overwhelmed..
