Does your conscious awareness originate in the brain – or the heart? Many people think it is the brain, but research is starting to suggest that your consciousness is a result of the brain and body acting together, like a well-oiled machine. Scientists now support that the heart is a highly complex system with its own functional brain.
Remember the movie the Secret? Did you get excited thinking that you only had to imagine something for it to appear in your life? Did you try it? Did you create vision boards, do affirmations, and meditate? That's wonderful if you did. But my question is this - did you create from your head or your heart?
I want you to bring to mind a time you originated a new idea in your head, you wanted it bad, and you set your sights to get it. If your heart wasn't truly backing you up, you weren't feeling it, or you struggled with feeling of negativity or self-doubt, how far did you get? Chances are, not far.
Now bring to mind a time that you made a half-hearted attempt to manifest something. Now that’s not to say that you didn’t want to see the end result, but your “heart wasn’t in it”. I feel pretty safe to say that you manifested a big pile of poo! You were resonating in a very low frequency, pretty dense energetically. That’s like trying to run a marathon in concrete tennis shoes. You won’t get very far really fast.
So if you are trying to create something new in your life - a better career, new relationship, loads of money, better health, or more love, which is more powerful - the brain or the heart? Now if you are a heart-centered, right-brained peep, without a doubt you will say "the heart". If you are a left-brained, logical sort of fellow, you’re going to answer "the brain". So which is it?
The brain is a dualistic organ – with both the right and left brain, wrestling for dominance. To this organ, there is only light/dark, right/wrong, left/right, or up/down. The heart, however, is not dualistic in nature and much more powerful electromagnetically.
Let’s do the heart math!
* The heart's electrical field is about 60 times greater in amplitude than the electrical activity generated by the brain.
* The magnetic field produced by the heart is more than 5,000 times greater in strength than the field generated by the brain.
* The electromagnetic energy of the heart not only envelops every cell of the human body, but also extends out in all directions in the space around us.
* Our cardiac field touches those within 8 - 10 feet of where we are positioned (and perhaps in more subtle ways at greater distances).
* One person's heart signal can affect another's brainwaves, and heart-brain synchronization can occur between two people when they interact.
What does this all mean?
Having a greater understanding of the role and power of the heart sheds light on how we manifest in our life – the good as well as the not-so-good. Becoming more heart aware and working towards an authentic goal that we are passionate about greatly empowers us. When sitting in quiet contemplation and moments of creation, take the energy of your dream into your heart. See your vision, your dream before you, with your breath, welcome it into your "heart space", offer support and positivity, and feel it come alive within you. Science has proven that the heart is a powerful tool in the creation of your life. We already manifest plenty. It's just a lot of what we don't want.
As you visualize what you do want, speak positive affirmations to yourself, and do so in your heart space. If you like creating vision boards and journaling, do it with joy in your heart! I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “Get out of your head”! I say, “Get into your heart”!
